About Us
Peretti Cane Corso is a small licensed breeder of the Cane Corso. We are located 45 minutes south of Boston in quiet country setting of Middleboro Massachusetts. Our home is situated on acres of land which abuts rivers, cranberry bogs and endless trails for hiking with our loved ones! We have been involved with many other large breed dogs since early childhood and have finally found a breed that demonstrates all the characteristics that we have been looking for. We currently share our home with our loving Cane Corsos that are companions as well as active in the show ring for conformation. All of our dogs live in our home and are members of our family which has proven to develop stable temperaments in or out of our home environment. The goal for Peretti Cane Corso is to breed for excellence in type (representation), temperament and soundness. It is of utmost importance to breed only from health tested and mentally sound stock. Our breedings are carefully planned and selected to produce better examples of the breed! We may have some excellent dogs in our program but we feel it is essential to utilize and leverage other great breeders to constantly improve the future of our show/companion program. At the very beginning of our search for a complete Cane Corso to the standard, we were fortunate enough to meet Tony Scandy. Mr. Scandy has provided us with unlimited time and knowledge to ensure that we would continue to develop quality Cane Corsos both in sound, structure, and appearance. He has helped us develop a very selective breeding program, and host some of the healthiest lines in America today. We would like to express our gratitude to him for being a trustworthy mentor to the selection of our program. We would also like to recognize Mike Ertaskiran of Godiva Cane Corso for his unsurpassed professional handling skills. His straight forward mindset for breed development will be instrumental for demonstrating the key characteristics we strive for in our breed/show program. Both myself and my fiancée Courtney are working professionals who have put a tremendous amount of time, effort, energy, and money into preserving the best specimen of the breed. Our main goal is to aid in the preservation of the breed and continue to promote overall health, stable temperaments, structure as stated by the standard through proven lines. The end result produces a better example of the breed. After all we owe it to the ancient breed. The Cane Corso is a great guard dog and extremely loyal to its family and quite aloof with strangers. A Cane Corso needs socialization like any other large breed but I highly recommend owners train their dog. The breed is gentle but yet can be protective of children and family. Thanks for viewing!!!
